Bio
A high school and college long-distance swimmer, early in her career, Katie was drawn to shoulder/neck/arm overhead issues for athletes like swimmers, softball and baseball players. Her practice grew to include expertise providing ankle and foot care due to injury, diabetes, surgery, etc. While earning her doctorate Katie focused on cardiopulmonary therapy and worked in long-term acute care hospitals with complex medical diagnosis. Today, Katie's growing focus is improving pelvic floor function and women's health and cardiopulmonary issues.
Dr. Weiss understands that each individual patient brings unique strengths, challenges, concerns, anatomy, and physical history. She listens carefully and develops a treatment plan tailored specifically to the needs of each person, paying close attention and making course corrections as needed along the way. Individualized care, comfort, and healing are her guiding principles. Her many years of experience, along with practicing independently, typically enable her to treat patients with fewer appointments than most PT clinics.
In her spare time, Dr. Weiss enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter, swimming, biking, and participating in outdoor activities with family and friends.
